Belize boasts the longest barrier reef in the western hemisphere and the second largest in the world, along with three major atolls including the famous Blue Hole dive site in the Lighthouse reef atoll. Even though Belize is ranked as one of the top three dive destinations in the Caribbean it has been slower to deveope giving you the luxury of diving uncrowded sites. The majority of dive sites need to be accessed by boat with a few exceptions if you are staying on one of the outer atolls, Tobacco Caye or Southwater Caye.
